International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA) -- Associação Internacional de Analistas de Inteligência Policial -- IALEIA/Brasil
The "Chapter Brazil" of the "International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts" (IALEIA-BR) was established on October 22nd, 2010 in the city of Belo Horizonte, state of Minas Gerais, with the support of the State of Minas Gerais Prosecutor's Office Foundation School.
The first Board of Directors, elected and already confirmed by the General-Assembly for the 2010-2013 term, is as follows:
– Chairman of the Board: Denilson Feitoza Pacheco (Doctor in Law and Senior State Prosecutor);
– 1º. Vice-President: Francisco Vicente Badenes Júnior (Special Agent, Federal
Police);
– 2º. Vice-President: George Felipe de Lima Dantas (Doctor in Education and Retired Lieutenant-Colonel, Federal District Military Police);
– Treasurer: Flávia Galindo Silvestre (Doctor in Pharmacology and Forensic Expert);
– Secretary: Luiz Augusto Soares de Andrade (Law Enforcement Intelligence Expert and State Prosecutor).
The General-Assembly, which elected and confirmed the board of directors was
conveyed by professionals from the Federal Police, the Judiciary Police of Minas Gerais, the Preventive Military Police of Minas Gerais, the Brazilian Army, the Prosecutor's Office of Minas Gerais, the General Accounting Office of Minas Gerais, and the Corrections Office of Minas Gerais.
The International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts-IALEIA (Associação Internacional de Analistas de Inteligência de Segurança Pública) with its headquarters in the United States of America, is the leading world association of law enforcement intelligence professionals, counting its members worldwide.
According to its by-laws, IALEIA's main goal is to promote the intelligence analysis profession locally as well as nationally and internationally.
In 2009, IALEIA's International Board of Directors authorized the establishment of IALEIA's Brazilian Chapter, and appointed Doctor Denilson Feitoza Pacheco as its first Chairman of the Board. In a General-Assembly gathered on October 22, 2010 the Brazilian Chapter of IALEIA was formally constituted as an "association", in accordance with Brazilian laws.
The IALEIA Brazilian Chapter, shortly IALEIA/Brazil, will foster not only intelligence analysis quality, efficiency and ethics, but also its management, counter-intelligence, intelligence operations and ancillary professions.
